Dr. Moore is one of South Florida’s premiere general surgeons, with over 20 years of practice in the trauma center he has become recognized by his peers as a leader in this specialized area. Dr. Moore understands that patients have a variety of practices and doctors to choose from but his attention to detail, professionalism and overall surgical knowledge sets him apart. Although highly sought after for his services, Dr. Moore and his team are some of the most personable doctors you will ever meet. Dr. Ronald Moore received his medical education at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Kansas. After completion of his general surgery training, he completed his fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes in Chicago. In 2000, he began assisting in weight loss surgery and went on to complete training in this special field. Dr. Moore completed hundreds of procedures in training and to date has completed well over 5,000 weight loss surgeries. His expertise in bariatric surgery includes gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, gastic banding, endoscopic balloon placement, and revisional surgery.

Dr. Moore recently was the director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine. Currently, he is a bariatric surgeon and a laparoscopic/robotic specialist in Fort Lauderdale and Plantation Florida. He is a current member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
